Non-Executive Director Succession

Carr's (CARR.L), the Agriculture and Engineering Group, today announces the following Board changes:

Appointment of Independent Non-Executive Director

As part of the Board's plan for Non-Executive Director succession, Gillian Watson has been appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director and will join the Board on 9 October 2023.

Gillian has more than 30 years' executive and non-executive experience across a range of sectors and geographies. She is an Independent Non-Executive Director at Vidrala, S.A. and Scottish Friendly Mutual Insurance as well as Non-Executive Chair of Statera Energy, char.gy and DC 25 investment Fund.  Previously, Gillian's executive career was spent in corporate finance advisory, business strategy and energy.

Gillian's past and present experience, knowledge of the energy sector and her contribution to business strategy and change at publicly listed companies, will result in her invaluable input to Carr's future.

Upon appointment, Gillian will serve as a member of the Board's Audit, Nomination and Remuneration Committees.

Gillian will initially join the Board on 9 October 2023 as a Non-Executive Director. She will take on the role of Senior Independent Director on 31 October 2023, when John Worby stands down from that role and from the Board after nearly nine years at the Company.
